Garden Tote
- What You'll Need:
From Buttons Galore:
- Dress It Up button packs:
- (1) #C981 Butterflies
- (1) #22 Sunflowers
- Buttons Galore embroidered patches:
- (2) #E8079P Purple Dragonfly
- (1) #E8085 Pink & Purple Butterfly
- (1) #E8001 Butterflies on Vine
- E6000 Craft Glue
- Buttons Galore diagonal cutters
- Other Items:
- Acrylic paints from Delta:
- Caribbean Blue
- Dark Foliage Green
- Apple Green
- 14' canvas tote
- 1' foam brush
- Small round tip brush
- Bowl/water
Directions:
1. Mix a small amount of Apple Green paint and water in a bowl to create a 'wash'.
With the foam brush, apply the wash to the bottom third of the tote, creating grass.
2. Mix a small amount of Dark Foliage Green paint and water in a bowl to create a 'wash'. Stroke in blades of grass with round brush.
3. Make a 'wash' with Caribbean Blue paint. Apply Caribbean blue wash to the remainder of the tote. Streaking of the paint will occur - this is the look we want. Dry completely.
4. Place embroidered butterflies in place and iron on to tote.
5. Cut backs off of buttons with Buttons Galore diagonal craft cutters (C1000). Place small dab of E6000 glue on the back of each sunflower button. Place each sunflower button randomly onto the grass. With round tip brush, stroke simple stems and leaves under the flowers. Dot tiny marks for texture on the grass. Put drop of glue onto each butterfly button and place butterflies between flowers on tote.
